Gov. Abercrombie orders flags to be flown at half-staff in memory of Sen. Inouye

(HONOLULU) – In remembrance of Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, Gov. Neil Abercrombie has ordered that all Hawaii flags at state offices and agencies as well as the Hawaii National Guard are to be flown at half-staff alongside the U.S. flag until sunset on the day of his interment, as ordered by President Barack Obama.

President Obama made the Presidential Proclamation ordering the U.S. flag at half-staff as a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding service of Senator Inouye, President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate.
